Basic functions of DC fan

Basic functions of fixed fan:

1. Automatic restart

When the fan is locked, the working current of the fan will be cut off automatically, and the fan will operate under low current to prevent the fan from burning due to high current; Another automatic restart function: the fan automatically sends a fan start signal on a regular basis. When the fan is unlocked, the fan will restart and work normally.

2. FG signal/speed signal output (frequency generator)

We often talk about square waves. This function is mainly used to output square wave signal from the fan. The signal frequency represents the fan speed. Traditional quadrupole fan: speed=FG frequency 30. This means that the fan speed can be read by reading the FG signal.

3. RD function (speed detector)

RD functions are also called alarm signals. RD is low when the fan is running and high when the fan is locked. Check whether the fan is in normal operation or locked state by monitoring RD signal level.

4. Temperature control function

The ambient temperature of the fan is monitored by a thermistor, and the fan speed is adjusted accordingly according to the temperature to save energy and reduce noise.

5. Pulse width modulation (PMW) function

PWM is the modulation of the pulse width. This means that the frequency (period) of the pulse signal is fixed, and the fan speed can be changed by changing the conduction period and the cut-off period of the pulse signal, so as to achieve the purpose of energy saving and noise reduction.

6. Speed regulation by voltage signal

Input variable voltage signal, change fan speed, save energy and reduce noise.

7. Special functions

The products can be customized according to the special requirements of customers (such as waterproof, dustproof, RD inversion, etc.).

DC fan, EC fan, CPU heat sink
